Chardonnay
Wine
Gembrook Hill Chardonnay draws from cool climate, estate grown vines in the Upper Yarra Valley. A Gembrook Hill rarity, it is usually only made in select vintages when the fruit is not put towards the estate's sparkling Blanc de Blancs.
The restrained yet complex style of this Chardonnay helped establish Gembrook Hill as one of the pacesetters in the Yarra Valley.
It is made in tiny quantities from hand harvested grapes fermented in French oak barrels. Produced with an Old World winemaking mindset, the wine sees minimal handling and little or no filtration.
Pale gold, Gembrook Hill Chardonnay speaks of its cool climate. It is fresh, delicate and smooth, with restrained oak and a lingering citrus finish. Cellaring potential is eight years.
